Temperature control in the aquarium is an essential task to maintain the health and well-being of the animals in care. Because fish areothermic animals, they depend on the correct ambient temperature to prevent them from becoming ill. Plants should also not be exposed to excessively high temperatures for extended periods of time. This is made possible primarily by control heaters, but also with the help of a cooling fan such as the JBL ProTemp Cooler x200 .

The fan is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and works by means of a modern cross-flow fan that generates a wide air flow. The evaporative cooling thereby cools the water temperature down by 2-4 °C. The installation is also simple; the holder of the fan is simply placed on the edge of the aquarium (up to max. 2.4 cm thickness) and fixed with clamping screws.

The JBL ProTemp Cooler is operated by means of low voltage of 12 C and has a safety cover grille. The JBL ProTemp Cooler x200 is designed for aquariums between 60-200 liters. For saltwater aquariums, the fan should be checked for salt crusts every now and then. Always operate the cooling fan in the direction of flow to prevent water splashes.
