Filter Pumice Coarse – 5-15mm – 10l

With its 5-15 mm, the filter pumice is also ideal for smaller external filters or to increase the total volume of the surfaces to the maximum. As a 100% natural filter medium, the filter pumice helps to improve water values and promotes the breakdown of pollutants in the aquarium and pond. The pumice stones are of volcanic origin and do not harden the water, so they can also be used in soft water aquariums.

The filter pumice stones form an enlarged surface on which denitrifying microorganisms settle and multiply and thus have a positive effect on the water values. It is this breakdown of pollutants that improves aquarium health and also makes the aquarium water sparklingly clear again.

It is best to use the filter pumice stones with a filter media bag, like the ones we carry in our store. Rinse the stones with cold water before use to remove abrasion caused by transport. Then place the bag in the external filter of your aquarium or pond. Every so often, you can cold wash and clean the pumice stones. Replace the lost bacteria with our Natureholic Crusta Bacter Liquid – a liquid bacteria preparation.
