The undemanding dwarf spear leaf, also called Anubias barteri var. nana or Anubias nana for short, remains relatively small and grows slowly. With its dark green relatively hard foliage it looks perfect in the foreground or middle ground, it is also largely not eaten by herbivores. Ideally, Anubias nana is tied up on roots or rocks. If the plant is planted in the substrate, the rhizome may rot, then the Anubias will die. Here the Anubias is already ready tied up.
From time to time Anubias barteri var. nana can bloom under water. The dwarf spear leaf does not need bright light and still grows in shady areas.
If you want to propagate Anubias nana, cut off a rhizome piece with at least two leaves still growing on it.
Anubias barteri var. nana also does well in terrariums and paludariums with high humidity.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth we recommend the use of the and for new plants the Premium Nutrient Substrate
Expert Tip: With the glue this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
